Our sale this week, features a extensive collection of Frozen Charolette’s
There is quite a story behind these small porcelain dolls.
In 1840, a young girl named Charolette, was to attend her first Ball.
Her boyfriend, Charlie was to drive her by carriage to the ball which was 15 miles away. The weather was extremely cold and Charolette, ignored her Mother’s advice to wear warm clothing.
By the time she arrived at the Ball she was frozen.
